Letting Anger Go

Having trouble letting anger go? Me too sometimes, but luckily there are a bunch of ways to work with and through your angers in a positive and productive light.

Wouldn't it be great to know that when events, that inevitably happen in life go wrong, that you can truly let it go once and for all? Letting anger go can be a great learning experience and a very positive tool for growth in any persons life, and the kicker is once you decide to start this process, your relationships and even your finances can and will change.

I am not going to lie to you. Sometimes anger runs deep, but with a few good techniques and a heart that is hopeful and desiring change, letting your anger go can happen relatively quickly.

A lot lies in the term anger and if you listen to most new age teachers they might tell you that the anger you feel isn't real. Now I don't know about you, but the anger I have felt in my life felt pretty real to me.

Most times though with resentment and just plain old annoyance, the anger is covering over some deeper feeling or hurt. Be it grief, shame, or fear, anger can serve as a guide to access those deeper pains where the true healing begins. Plus there are plenty of ways to begin this process and begin letting the anger go.

For instance, you can take a trip to Wal-Mart and buy one of those foam child bats and beat the crap out of your bed with it. It's super loud and feels great. On a budget? You can simply take a piece of hose and hit your telephone book with it.

How cliché though. Angry? Hit a pillow. But the truth is that even hitting a pillow can start the process. There is a key though, and that is allowing yourself to go deeper and get more intense, reaching your way through the layers of lies and getting at the real cause. That is where the true release happens and the anger just dissipates. Even just being aware of where your resentment or annoyance stems from can help in the process of letting anger go.

I truly hope these words help anyone who feels troubled or somehow less happy because of anger in their lives, to take action. I know I've had my fair share of angers and still actively work on this topic any chance I get.
